Right place, right time - gigs picked up on the spot!

I was working at my retail job, a camera repair and sales store in Washington, D.C., ringing a woman up for some disposable cameras. She mentioned she would pass them out to her guests at the small wedding she was having over the weekend. It's something I've seen before, and something I even considered at our own wedding, but not in place of a photographer. Not 5 minutes later, she doubled back and asked if we knew any event photographers. I raised my hand, and I got the job! Sight unseen! Sometimes you have to be at the right place, at the right time.
